Q1.How to determine if your hosting providers is costing you money?
Answer 1: Allows Spammers to send mail from their networks, either willingly for a price, or unwillinglyly due to their lack of ability to secure their network. This causes mail to be rejected. This is definately a loss in terms of potential bussiness.
Answer 2: Your provider fails to provide reverse DNS, and mail gets rejected, because it cannot be verified.
Answer 3: Your provider fails to secure network and allows machines to be infected and attack other networks. Egress filtering is a necessity and is required on all networks. Networks get blocked when they provide substandard security. This also effects other users hosted on the same machine, this is pure negligence.
