Arrogant

It is with regret that we are forced to refuse traffic from the IP's listed below due to:
  • Unauthourized login attempts
  • Portscans
  • Virus infected machines
  • Relay attempts to send Spam
  • No correct reverse Dns for IP's that are mailservers

It appears that there is a total disdain / ignorance by users to protect their machines and an even greater lack of interest by many ISP's. Because they cannot secure their machines and IP's under their control, we do not feel its reason enough for us to allow our networks to be abused by them. Visit Spamhaus.org and see the ISP's that have bad records.

Certain IP classes are persisistant in their abuse, so blocking by individual IP is no longer an efficient way to deal with their escaling insecurities, so we consistantly forced to expand the blocks fo full class C's ( / 24 ).

As we all know Cable, DSL and dialup accounts are inevitable the most likely to show the most abuse, due to disinterest on behalf of the operators supplying the IP's. It appears, some operators are not interested in fixing the insecurities perportrated from their networks. See http://www.cert.org/tech_tips/before_you_plug_in.html

The following articles show the extent of the disinterest and the actual abuse http://www.informationweek.com/windows/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=177102202

Our advise is fix your own insecurities on your machine, then change ISP or Access Provider to one that can offer you a better secured network that does not get their IP's blocked due to lack of interest.

If you fee you have been unfairly blocked, take the issue up with your provider, its their IP's and their lack of ensuring that they are clean. You pay them and their lack of action is the cause. Lets see if you get any response. If you feel that you are paying them for a smaller portion of the internet, be happy, if not, move.........
